Foxconn unveiled three new electric vehicle reference models at Hon Hai Tech Day 2026 in Taipei. The company added the MODEL A+, MODEL K+, and MODEL K to its portfolio, bringing its total EV reference vehicles to 12 models.

The MODEL A+ is a premium B-segment SUV equipped with in-wheel motor technology and selectable electronic and electrical architecture. It targets affluent buyers and includes features for backup power and temporary living space.

The MODEL K+ is an affordable lifestyle SUV designed for younger customers, with styling inspired by 1970s and 1980s city pop aesthetics. The platform allows automotive partners flexibility in exterior, interior, driving range and vehicle architecture to develop their own branded models.

The MODEL K is a compact commercial truck for Japan's kei-class vehicle segment. It targets last-mile deliveries and mobility services, with lower operating and maintenance costs, longer cargo bed and lower loading height.

Foxconn Chief Strategy Officer for EV Jun Seki said the vehicles would strengthen the company's electromobility ecosystem and support customers and partners. The company designs these models to help automotive customers reduce development time, cost and accelerate technology deployment.

Foxconn also displayed battery, battery management system, vehicle electrical architecture and electric powertrain developments at the event. The electronics manufacturer is expanding into EV contract manufacturing, seeking partnerships with established automakers through its contract design and manufacturing services model.
